::Werk Your Willy

I really saw people taking the Werk your willy to heart and it made for a very positive, fun show with two really great bands, and opened by Mikial Robertson, who’s set I missed that night, but he is really talented.

Love seeing mah peeps out. The cool hoopsters Laura and Lex. There was a clinic earlier and crafts with crafty. All ages shows with this crowd rock. Sooo respectful.

Such a great crowd.

Personally I didn’t really like the lighting design, but I love Glostik Willy.

The way those boys play so hard, and put so much effort into their set just blows the mind.

I think the sax added a different dimension to the Stik boy’s already strong show…

Buddha was so adorable with his electric lime bass strings. It made me giggle.

They made me want to dance, I’d say from my point of view, technically flawless on their musicianship. They have a very eclectic sound.

By the way I learned what in the heck a Ewi is… Eee Whee for a pronunciation guide.

Like it’s a recorder on crack, or a electric soprano saxophone…

Ricky Rage did a slamming Video of this show, and you can see it on the fm music live homepage!

Um I really didn’t pay all that much attention to the Werks…

And it’s not because they weren’t good, it’s just because I got distracted by texting a dumb boy, and being ignored, and my BFF was there, and we were having a pretty good conversation with a good friend of mine that I met through Mike Martin… plus two gals that she brought with her who were really freaking cool.

The Werk guys sounded great from the bar, they played more instrumental, than sang vocals, but I could see the crowd was taking positively to their set, with some LED hoop actions, lots of booty shaking. Um can we saw AMAZING how cool it was when Buddha got to play Bass with The Werks boys? That song particularly rocked hardcore.

I can easy hypothesize that if Docs books a band, that the band is going to be awesome, hands down since I’ve been come in tune with seeing shows most every weekend either at Docs or even at other venues, it really is amazing tome how much better than bands are sounding at the Doc’s venue. I’m not sure what exactly make a difference, perhaps it’s the facet that it is an all ages show, and the kids that are underage want to make a statement about kids their age, that they can be respectful, and courteous and get the privilege to continue to come to these shows, or if it’s just that the set-up is so much more amazing at Docs that it outshines other venues, I’m not really sure.
