::Freaky Tiki III
When I arrived at Freaky Tiki this week, I was able to catch Bashville Boys playin’ across the street from Doc's Music Hall. They played an awesome bluegrass set, while inside preformed the groovy band Peterson, Simmons, and Dunn also playing a good show. Last night was the night of Losing September’s tour kick off. Other bands included; Antheon, and another band which unfortunately I do not know the name of. Rumor has it that the original band that was supposed to play, Dark at Noon, canceled and was replaced by a band that has a name similar to Antheon. Sorry I missed the name but what I did not miss was the kick ass live show played by all the bands last night!
Last night was a little bit different from the past couple weeks because while having the opportunity to interview Losing September, I also was able to interview our special guests Revolution, a Minor League Football team. Revolution, as a team, has been together since January and they have been playing in states such as Kentucky, Ohio, and right here in Muncie, Indiana. Their next game is scheduled for July 30th at Wilson Middle School. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
Losing September, a great, heavy metal, adrenalin pumping band, has been together for about 7 years. With their tour kickoff occurring last night, they plan on touring all over the United States from the East Coast to the West. Steven, the Bassist for the band, said that his inspiration for becoming as great a bassist as he is… Flea, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers!
So, if you are in the mood to mosh pit all night and enjoy some good heavy metal, check out these bands at Doc’s Music Hall, and make it a hell of a night!
